Rachelle is a recent graduate from the physical therapy program at the University of Miami. During her didactic work, she conducted research on the topic of neurorehabilitation in the adult population. Her poster was accepted at CSM for two consecutive years. The project was submitted for publication before graduating from the DPT program. During her education, she had two pediatric clinicals. The first clinical was with the Miami-Dade Public School District where she treated children with various conditions/disabilities including Autism, cerebral palsy, and genetic diseases. The second pediatric clinical was at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in the in-patient/out- patient clinic. During her time there she saw a wide variety of ages and populations including infants and adolescents with spinal muscular dystrophy, infants with torticollis, and children with rare genetic diseases.

"Additionally, she completed an intensive in-patient neurorehabilitation clinical at Centre for Neuro-Skills in Encino, California. Rachelle knew she wanted to work in pediatrics before completing her kinesiology and psychology degree at Arizona State University in 2010. During her undergraduate degree, she worked as a pediatric home health aide, shadowed an independent pediatric home therapist, and Wendy Bergman at Horizon Pediatric Therapy.

"What I love about working with children is that treatment is individualized and can be tailored to be made fun. I worked hard for the education I received and I am excited that I get to use it to help children reach their full developmental potential in an engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable manner. Nothing is more rewarding than coming alongside a family and helping their child meet or exceed a goal."

"I love mornings, a good long run, working out at the gym, hiking, and cold brew coffee in that order. I also thoroughly enjoy any activity that does not require sitting for long periods of time (thank you PT school). My boyfriend and I recently adopted Chance, our shy, laid-back, 66-pound pit-bull terrier mix. His photos take up all my phone memory. I am involved with the youth group at my church and enjoy the variety of experiences and relationships."
